Personality:

► At first glance, Thorne comes off as an egotistical Han Solo/Flynn Rider mash-up of charming and roguish and selfish idiocy. And, well, that's pretty accurate. No one compliments Thorne more than Thorne himself (except Cress, who thought he was "princely" before meeting...). How much of it is really Thorne and how much is utter bullshit is debatable...
► ... but the man does have charm left and right. An incorrigible flirt, he tries to charm nearly every woman he meets, to the point where it's likely a habit. It doesn't always work. Actually, it rarely does, except on sweet pure souls like Cress. Even aside from charming women, Thorne is prone to fast-talking charm in general.
► Thorne has an incredible calm. He has one of the levelest heads in the series (surprisingly), able to keep his cool in even the most stupidly dangerous of situations. Or at the least, fake calm. If he's panicking, you know things have really gone to hell.
► A deadpan snarker prone to being a shit head. He once started a prison riot... over the soap, claiming it was drying out his skin. Once freed a tiger from a zoo, as you do. In true over-dramatic shittery, he insists he's a Captain-- even though he didn't make it past cadet in the military.
► Despite insisting he's in everything for his own benefit, Thorne isn't entirely the rogue he makes himself out to be. He has his good deeds - misconstrued as epic heroism by Cress at times - when there were safer and more beneficial to himself ways to go about things. He didn't have to join Cinder for the long haul, for example.

Abilities: Charmingly roguish normal human. He's a good pilot and has various survival skills, and can use guns and that sort of thing. Has also learned to get around while deprived of sight.
